#RIP to Nicholas Brendan, also.
He was in Buffy the Vampire Show which I had seen a lot of back in the day because my sister was obsessed. I got to meet him and got an 8x10 signed. He was definitely on drugs at the time. Very hyper, but friendly. He did have issues, though. Domestic abuse allegations, then some spinal issues a few years back, which complicated and ultimately led to partial paralysis and then death. Yikes.
I had him sign my Blood on the Highway dvd, and he asks me, "Is it good? I've never seen it." I always wonder why actors refuse to watch their own movies, or at least claim not to, because he signed it with one of the quotes from the movie, "Tell me why my prostate isn't being massaged by 3 Thai hookers right now.."
I'll never forget his last words to me. I told him he's quite a character, and he responded, "Whoever smelt it dealt it."

The Witch Who Came From the Sea (1976)
In my lazy effort to watch all the #VideoNasty movies, I finally watched one for this challenge that's been on my radar for years. It's a pretty grainy seaside story set on the Los Angeles coast about a young woman named Molly. She's banging old dudes and athletes and tv stars and also cutting their dicks off. She's got issues.
In terms of trash points, it's not very graphic, but the points are definitely there. The blood is mostly squeezed out of the blades (no actual lacerations in the skin) and there are flashes of scenes of dismembered bodies in a weird color filter. This lady is a slut and gets naked a lot and does a lot of pills, and there's a big backstory of rape and incest.
Most importantly, this film features Buck Flower as a generic detective in a minor role, but that's enough to make this movie a 10/10, even though it's more realistically a 6/10. Worth at least one watch for the nasty completionists.

RIP Chuck Norris
It must have been suicide. Only Chuck Norris can kill Chuck Norris.

Trump is a plonker. His knowledge of history is as good as my knowledge of trash movies. He just claimed America wins all it's wars: "we" won World War I, "we" won World War II and "we won everything"! I guess the President of the United States has never heard of Afghanistan, Vietnam or Korea. What a complete and utter plonker.

Thoughts on the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer?

I'll watch it, but it definitely seems over-stuffed. You've got Punisher, Scorpion, Tarantula, The Hand, Hulk (maybe just Banner), Rachel Summers (allegedly) an unnamed villain, Peter coping with the loss of his BFFs, and a mutation plot on top of that? Talk about a lot of threads going on, no web pun intended.

#Companion (2025)
This was a pretty interesting movie. It's one that wasn't talked about much, so I didn't have a clue what I was getting into, but I like Jack Quaid, so I figured I'd give it a go. If you like a good surprise, go in blindly. The "twist" happens pretty early on, which isn't exactly a twist considering it's the main premise of the movie, and the images they show on streaming will also probably give it away, too.
So, a couple goes to a "cabin" for a retreat. Much to their surprise, the cabin is pretty fucking big. It's a multi-couple date thing, and things go south pretty quick. I'd say it's comparable to Ex Machina and has some interesting AI aspects going for it dealing with love and existentialism. Saying anything more will ruin the experience, but I liked it. It's dark, kinda violent, and probably going to be more relevant as time goes on.

Iran has been freed from the tyranny of the Khamenei. That dictator has been eliminated. Trump has liberated another country. 90 million Iranians are celebrating while liberals (and surely Markus) are angry about this.

#TheBarbarians (1987)
Deodato directs this Conan-esque tale of two brothers sold into slavery, growing up into total beefcakes before escaping to go on some epic quest for revenge against their captors. Villains include Richard Lynch, Michael Berryman, and George Eastman. If that's not enough for you, I don't know what is!
The 80s had its fair share of sword and sorcery knockoffs. IMDb lists this as "sword and sandal" and I was like, WTF is that?! But by definition, I think sword and sorcery is more accurate, but whatever. Them Italians liked to jump on the bandwagon. I know Fulci did his own fantasy adventure "Conquest" that was also pretty decent and violent. This one is kind of light-hearted and more fun.

Happy #FridayThe13th!
I did a double feature of F13 part 3 and Elm Street part 3. I think F13-3 is the best of the series. Jason is at his best and bulkiest. Something about his stature, humongous neck, and movement really works for me, and he does two things that people often forget he's capable of doing: running and raping. The whole end chase scene is long and great, and the barn is such a great setting that they had to copy it for part 5.
One thing that makes no sense is that he was hacked with a machete through the shoulder in part 2, and they even show it in the recap (thus it's not exactly retconned), but he's basically back to full health a day later. Oh well. Chris is also my favorite final girl, even though her acting is pretty atrocious at times, but she is fine.
The director of part 6 apparently pitched a Cheech and Chong Meet Jason idea, likely inspired by the Chong rip-off in this movie. Just imagine the different trajectory this series would have taken if that happened. We'd probably get some really stupid entries like Jason in Space or something. Thank God that never happened.

Keir Starmer is also an asshole, entirely on his own accord.
Now let's all watch as markus makes this about Trump.
