#RIP Victor Miller

Writer of F13 part 1 who fucked over Sean Cunningham, got the F13 video game discontinued, and basically kept Jason out of movies for over a decade. I'm not terribly upset at this news since his final years were motivated by greed, but still... F13 is a classic. Hopefully without him as a roadblock, we can get more F13. And hopefully we can drop this shitty "Jason Universe" label and go back to the real deal. But either way... RIP.

Age 80. This year is vicious. I never really listened to her, but she seemed cool. I also love boobs, so there's that.

Movie-wise, I always liked that stupid Stallone movie Rhinestone. It has a shit rating, but it's pretty fun.

Also #RIP Frank Beard. The drummer from ZZ Top who surprisingly did not have a beard. Age 77, started having health issues not long ago and had to quit touring. Not sure if they specified what the cause was yet.

I saw them live in 2018. They were great.

#RIP Reggie Bannister (1945-2026)

He'd been in the hospital for a while, so it wasn't unexpected, but it's still a major bummer. I met him about 10 years ago and he was perfectly capable and friendly then. I would never have guessed he'd be gone just a decade later. Phantasm rules, and he was a huge reason why.

He directed Elm Street 3, The Blob '88, The Mask, and Eraser. All good flicks.

Nightmare 3 is one of the best of the series, and The Blob is one of the best remakes. I used to watch The Mask a lot as a kid, and I'd watch basically any Arnold action flick. He also did The Scorpion King if you're into that, and apparently the Witchboard remake from a couple years ago.

#RIP William Wisher Jr.

Credited as a co-writer of T1 & T2. I remember he pitched a T5 sequel once and they turned him down. It would have had Kyle, Sarah, Arnold, and tie back to the originals. But what does he know? He only co-wrote the only films they ever try to rehash out of that series. Probably would have been better than Genisys!

I just got word of this. He played Ricky from Sleepaway Camp. No cause of death revealed yet.

If you remember the first movie, he was actually a pretty good actor in it. But by the time Return to Sleepaway Camp rolled around, he was probably the worst actor in the whole movie. Overly emotive and whatnot. It's a shame though. I was and will forever hold out hope for a new Sleepaway Camp movie. When I say that, what I really want is a sequel, but the one coming up (produced by Kenan Thompson) probably wont be that.
