#RIP Jonathan Tiersten.
I just got word of this. He played Ricky from Sleepaway Camp. No cause of death revealed yet.
If you remember the first movie, he was actually a pretty good actor in it. But by the time Return to Sleepaway Camp rolled around, he was probably the worst actor in the whole movie. Overly emotive and whatnot. It's a shame though. I was and will forever hold out hope for a new Sleepaway Camp movie. When I say that, what I really want is a sequel, but the one coming up (produced by Kenan Thompson) probably wont be that.

#RIP to Nicholas Brendan, also.
He was in Buffy the Vampire Show which I had seen a lot of back in the day because my sister was obsessed. I got to meet him and got an 8x10 signed. He was definitely on drugs at the time. Very hyper, but friendly. He did have issues, though. Domestic abuse allegations, then some spinal issues a few years back, which complicated and ultimately led to partial paralysis and then death. Yikes.
I had him sign my Blood on the Highway dvd, and he asks me, "Is it good? I've never seen it." I always wonder why actors refuse to watch their own movies, or at least claim not to, because he signed it with one of the quotes from the movie, "Tell me why my prostate isn't being massaged by 3 Thai hookers right now.."
I'll never forget his last words to me. I told him he's quite a character, and he responded, "Whoever smelt it dealt it."

I hate when I look someone up and find out they died and no one said anything about it.
Demond Wilson from Sanford and Son passed away earlier this year. #RIP

#RIP Robert Carradine
Suicide due to bipolar disorder. Yikes! I saw at least one of those Revenge of the Nerds movies, as well as Mean Streets where he shot his half-brother David Carradine in a bar, then David tries to choke him out with his final breath. (!!)
Robert was the son of horror legend John Carradine from the olden days of Hollywood. Robert also happened to star in the TV remake of one of my favorite horror flicks Humanoids from the Deep. His version was okay at best, but I remember watching it on TV as a kid and liking it a lot more back then.

#RIP to Tom Noonan. Man, they're dropping like flies!
I remember him primarily as The Ripper from Last Action Hero and Cain in RoboCop 2, but a lot of people know him from Monster Squad and Manhunter. He was also in the great Ti West movie House of the Devil. RIP Ripper.

#RIP Robert Duvall.
Quite frankly, I'm surprised he was still alive. You hadn't heard much about him in years.
The Godfather 1 & 2 are great. I always felt like they shafted his character in that because he wasn't blood related, but also because they excluded him entirely in part 3.
To Kill a Mockingbird was one of his earliest. I remember watching that in school and he pops up as Boo Radley.
He loved the smell of napalm in the morning.
The Sixth Day was also decent.

#RIP James Van Der Beek. I never watched Dawson's Creek because I'm not a chick, but he was great in The Rules of Attraction. Cancer is a bitch. It also got the singer of 3 Doors Down Brad Arnold. A two or three hit wonder as far as I'm concerned, but still good songs.

#RIP Bob Weir, singer and founding member of #GratefulDead.
This happened a few days ago, but I just heard about it. Some of their stuff was kinda weird, but American Beauty was a great album. He lasted 30 years longer than Jerry did.

#SpinalTap2 (2025)
It's hard to make a follow-up to a cult film 40 years later, but I had a lot of good laughs out of this one. Rob Reiner was a loon, but separate the art from the artist because he made some good flicks.
Our trio is all pretty old now, having had a falling out with each other over the years. David makes music in small scale (having won a "Holdie" award), Nigel trades guitars for cheese, and Derek works in a glue museum. Suffice to say, they need to reform, and that's when themagicdisasters happen.
It's not a complex movie, but it's a lot of little things that make it fun. There's a fair amount of nostalgia going on and they'll obviously retread the greatest hits of the first movie, but I don't care. I still listen to same shit I did decades ago, so I'm happy to see these guys still going, even if they're old farts. A short and sweet movie. #RIP Rob.

He's been in some good movies, such as a few by Sean Baker, like Starlet and Tangerine, where he played a pimp. He was hilarious in that. He was also in A Dirty Shame as a sex maniac. Most might know him as Eddie from It: Chapter 2.
Suicide by hanging. Sad.
