@Box_a_Hair, I noticed you rate Hereditary a 10 (or a 9 because you obviously rated it back when it was the 5 star system). I was just curious what you liked most about it to rate it so highly, unless you did a review at the time you can link to.

Ghostface/GhostFake has taken center stage for the Scary Movie marketing campaign, which makes sense considering the Scream franchise has been back on top of the box office in recent years. June challenge
As crime just got hijacked by comedy, next month shall we do crime then or how about something different again like action? Or perhaps we do the "different genre every week" challenge (action, crime, war, western)?
I'd do the vote thing if I could, so just tell me below what you guys would prefer.

#TexasFrightmare 2026
I did the Saturday pass with @DerTables, Justin, my nephew, and his step-sister. I'm pretty efficient with these things, so I get what I come for and leave.
The first guy we met was Rohan Campbell who played Corey Cunningham in Halloween Ends. Double bonus because I also enjoyed Silent Night, Deadly Night. He was cool. I asked him how he felt on the divisive nature of Ends and he understands it. I think people are too harsh on it. In a few years, they'll come around. Maybe.
Next was the Halloween III trio. Tom Atkins is old, but he was great. There are very few people left that I'm anxious to meet, but he was one of the necessities. I love all his 80s stuff. Next up was Stacy Nelkin, who still looks good for her age. Then the last was Tommy Lee Wallace. I asked him if he ever considered or was pitched a follow-up for H3, and while he's proud of the movie, he really doesn't know where it could go. Archer (my nephew) wants to watch H3 now, but he had already seen Tommy's "It" with Tim Curry.
That's all I came for. Justin wanted to meet Warwick Davis and Logan wanted to meet Emma Roberts, but they were the bigshots this year apparently. They had separate floors and lines, so fuck that. Steve-O was also a potential, but his line was long. Justin ran off and met Stephen Dorff without me and got him to sign his Cecile B. Demented DVD.
I didn't blow too much money this year, but I did manage to snag a NECA figure of Vincent Price that I've been trying to find for years.

2026 Comedy Challenge

When TDS-fueled trolling (and whatever Vince is now trying to do) just doesn't cut it, it's time to think outside the box for some laughs around here. I think this one is a long time coming, and it's certainly a broad enough genre to deserve its own month. For the month of May, we can watch traditional comedies, horror comedies, dramedies, any genre as long as comedy is also a significant part of it. You can use your own judgement there. Not just movies but sitcoms or any comedy tv show. Also shorts like The 3 Stooges will count. So, this will be a point a minute.

I'm reworking some stuff. The site will break and look shitty for a bit. Bear with it.

#SilentNightDeadlyNight (2025)
This was a pleasant surprise. They finally made a good SNDN sequel. Yeah, not quite a remake because they changed a lot of the story. The start is similar, but it deviates pretty quick.
Billy Chapman isn't a gradual descent into madness. He's a killer right off the bat, but there's something different about him. There's some Dexter vibes going on, with a bit of a romance plot inbetween. A little bit supernatural.
The main dude did good and the love interest was also fun, equally crazy and hot. Quite interesting. Recommended.

@Box...let me ask you, honestly...you still think it was a good idea to kill the shoutbox? The traffic here is rigor mortis. All the bs politics and tomfoolery (AKA me) was contained in the shoutbox and it was lots of action. Now it has to fuck up posts. Just saying...bad move imo. Gotta stop listening to Freakish!

Anyone watch #TheBoys series finale? Most of season 5 was pretty iffy, but it wrapped up pretty nicely. I got exactly the ending I wanted with Homelander, and then some. Anthony Starr did a fantastic job in that role.

I got my #TexasFrightmare tickets for Saturday, May 23rd. Main priority is the Halloween 3 reunion: Tom Atkins, Stacy Nelkin, and Tommy Lee Wallace. I'll also try to meet Steve-O, who has absolutely NO reason to be there.
