Twin Peaks

The last couple months @box has been showing me the awesomeness of Twin Peaks. I have to admit, after watching the first episode, while I loved it immensely, I had to wonder what I got my self into. It was so crazy, but I found myself needing to know more of the mystery of Laura Palmer's death.

I can now say I am happy I stuck through the first two seasons and the movie! The first season happened so fast that I had so many questions. And naturally season two left me with many more questions, most of which revolves around doppelgängers and the black lodge. Hopefully these will be answered in season 3.

The movie was a wonderful experience. Weird, crazy, and I loved seeing Laura Palmer's story leading up to her death. It was such a powerful movie and tied up one story line for me at least.

I am excited to watch more of season 3. I've watched two episodes so far and I already love it again! I know I'm going to be chomping at the bit and bugging @box to watch it until we finish!

Twin peaks is definitely an amazing show, and I'm so glad I was introuduced to this crazy world!!!

Twin Peaks

Who here's excited for the new season premiering in May? Also, who's been re-watching the series? I just finished re-watching season 1 and have been sucked back into the mystery and intrigue once again. It's one of the best shows ever and easily some of Lynch's best work period. Great cast, memorable oddball characters, and Lynch captures both the beauty and the dark underbelly of small town America perfectly.

And Deputy Andy Brennan is the most likeable dumb cop in history!

The Walking Dead or Z Nation?

Which zombie TV series do you prefer? I prefer Z Nation myself because it's a lot more fun and isn't so damn brooding like The Walking Dead is. Okay so it's produced by Asylum films, known for all their shitty mockbusters and it airs on SyFy, a channel that lost all credibility years ago, but it's better than you'd expect if you go in with an open mind. It knows it's cheap and rolls with it. Episodes tend to go ridiculously over the top, but that's why it's so much fun. There aren't any of those dull, filler episodes that The Walking Dead has.

As far as The Walking Dead goes, do I hate the show? No, there's been some great episodes here and there, but it's just been so damn inconsistent as a whole. It's not the be all end all when it comes to zombies either. Only watching The Walking Dead doesn't make you a "zombie expert" either. The spinoff series, Fear the Walking Dead has been a dull affair thus far too.
