#BestFriends aka #BestFiends, Volumes 1 & 2

Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero reteamed after the critically panned yet highly successful The Room. This is a two-parter also set in Los Angeles about a bum named John (Sestero) who gets a job working for a mortician named Harvey (Wiseau). John finds out that Harvey collects gold teeth from the bodies he works on, and John forms a scheme to sell the gold and get lots of money. Things get complicated, people betray each other, and best friends become best fiends.

That's the first movie. The second movie is all about John trying to break open a safe.

Tommy Wiseau is awkwardly entertaining as ever, and Greg Sestero is completely wooden. John's girlf(r)iend Traci is really hot. The movie isn't great, but if you find The Room entertaining at all, then you should probably watch these movies.

I could have sworn Stranger Things came out in 2015, but now I'm informed it was 2016. I'm usually pretty good about release dates, and I googled it and it said it was a common mengele effect.

2026 Comedy Challenge



When TDS-fueled trolling (and whatever Vince is now trying to do) just doesn't cut it, it's time to think outside the box for some laughs around here. I think this one is a long time coming, and it's certainly a broad enough genre to deserve its own month. For the month of May, we can watch traditional comedies, horror comedies, dramedies, any genre as long as comedy is also a significant part of it. You can use your own judgement there. Not just movies but sitcoms or any comedy tv show. Also shorts like The 3 Stooges will count. So, this will be a point a minute.

I watched the first episode of #Euphoria.

Sex, drugs, and juvenile delinquency. Sidney Sweeney topless in the pilot? I'll have to keep watching.

Backrooms is fantastic. I don't want to say too much about it. I really appreciated going in knowing next to nothing. What's super impressive is the director is only 20.

You know what pisses me off about computers nowadays? The files take up so much fucking space! My PC is has 500 GB of storage. I'm not much of a gamer. I have 1 game on there that takes up 60 GB and I don't do much else of anything. I primarily work with text files that take up a few kilobytes, so somebody please tell me why my computer has over 400 GB of space taken up? Most of this is fucking system updates for features I've never used and can't remove.

You know what the file size of this website is, not counting the database? 20 MB.
Do you know how much the database takes up? 150 MB or less, and that's 12 years worth of content.

These stupid operating systems are getting out of hand.

Movie stars of a similar age.

It just occured to me that Nic Cage is around the same age as several other major Hollywood stars; Tom Cruise (63), Brad Pitt (62), Johnny Depp (62), Keanu Reeves (61).

These guys could be the last generation of actual Hollywood movie stars. I mean let's be honest, is there a bunch of actors around these days that will hold the same reverance when they are in their 60s who are in their 30s now? Timothée Chalamet? Austin Butler? Glenn Powell? Ryan Gosling may be the closest but he's in his 40s now. Good actors all but bondafide movie stars? Nah.

@Tromafreak, I know you like to be controversial, but in no way was Antrum better than Hereditary. Unless you like seeing weird dorks running around in their underwear, then it definitely has that edge.
