@NoseOfNicko, wasn't Black Phone 2 a big Elm Street rip-off?
I'm not complaining. That made me like the movie more.

Directed by Jackie Kong, this movie is about inept cops and a comedian with a bag over his head.
This movie is dumb. It's loaded with dirty jokes, 80s babes, and farts. It even has Kitten Natividad in a topless cameo. What more do you need?

It's been a while since I saw this. I blind bought it in the early days of my DVD quest because I trusted the Anchor Bay label and it was well regarded. I kinda liked it, then I kinda felt iffy about it. Well, I'm back on the liking it train, and I think I get it a lot more now.
Rupert Everett is great as the love-starved downer "protagonist", and Anna Falchi is super hot. I like how they handled her multiple roles in this. Nagi is good for a few laughs, and the zombies themselves prove to never be the real issue here. Our guy is just wildly depressed, on the edge, and surprisingly lucky and cursed at the same time.

#Obsession (2025)
After being put in the friend zone, Bear makes a wish that "Nikki loved me more than anyone in this fucking world". Suffice to say, some wishes do come true. In the traditional monkey's paw sense, the result isn't "love". It's... Obsession.
It's a slow burn that gets increasingly more unsetting as the girl's mindset deteriorates. It's creepy because of things like unnatural movements, unpredictable behaviors, and separation anxiety. You'll be uncomfortable because you'll always be expecting her to do something weird, like smiling too much or staring too hard. She does a wonderful job at being completely psychotic.
This movie was made for less than a million dollars, and for that low of a budget, it's fucking fantastic. Take note, Hollywood! Yeah, I'm talking to you, dipshits! With your obscenely bloated budgets and overpaid actors. Stop putting all your eggs in one basket and make more low-budget movies that wont bankrupt you if they bomb. This fucking movie made about 250x its budget back, which is insane.

#TheRoomReturns
Bob Odenkirk stars in a remake of The Room. Yes, we're all very curious on how this is even allowed to exist. I'm a little iffy, because the original (despite Wiseau's claims) was never supposed to be a comedy. This one is already pushing to be comedically bad, which kind of defeats the point, doesn't it?
There doesn't seem to be any direct involvement with Tommy Wiseau, but Greg Sestero will be playing "Chris R."

#Helloween (2025)
I was watching this on Tubi after I had watched another shitty Halloween movie. This one is about a psycho clown cult prepping to terrorize London on Halloween night. John (Michael Pare) and Ellen are investigating and have to get answers from a crazed inmate named Cane who dresses like a clown. Cane keeps hinting that some shit is about to go down as clown sightings grow more common, but Cane is cryptic. Eventually, he escapes prison and comes after Ellen's family in a home invasion type scenario.
Michael Pare seems like he'll have a decent role here, but then the filmmakers give us all the finger and throw him away. Ellen looks like her face is filled with botox, but she makes up for it by having a nice rack. Then, there's Cane...
This dude thinks he's a charming and edgy criminal mastermind. In reality, he's an obnoxiously cringy Joker rip-off with a pointlessly contrived plot. I fucking hate this guy, and not for the reasons he wants me to hate him for. He's a total jabroni, and this movie can suck my asshole.
