1978 Babysitter Murders

Michael Myers escaped Smith's Grove sanitarium on October 30th, 1978. He drove 150 miles to get to Haddonfield. When he got there, he stole a jump suit, a plain white mask, and some knives from the local hardware store.

A teenager named Laurie Strode said she saw him watching her throughout the day. He watched her in class, he watched her walk home, and he watched her through her bedroom window.

Later that night, Laurie went to babysit the neighbor kid. Her friend Annie was babysitting another kid across the street. Michael followed them and waited until they were alone.

Annie left the girl she was babysitting with Laurie across the street. She went to the car to pick up her boyfriend. She didn't know Michael was hiding in the back seat. He slit her throat.

Their friend Lynda went to see Annie, but she wasn't there. Lynda decided to wait in the house with her boyfriend, Bob.

When neither of her friends answered her calls, Laurie got worried. She went over to the house next door and all the lights were turned off. Laurie went inside to the bedroom and found all their bodies waiting for her. Michael Myers was waiting in the shadows and he attacked her.

Laurie escaped and went back to the Doyle house, but he followed her there. He snuck in and came after her. Laurie hid in the closet, but he found her there and broke in, but she managed to knock him out.

She was on her way out when Michael came at her from behind and began choking her. That's when Michael's psychiatrist arrived and fired six shots into Michael, sending him off the balcony. When they looked over the edge, his body was already gone.

Paramedics arrived and took Laurie to the hospital. Little did she know that Michael had followed her there. Michael had killed many of the workers at the quiet hospital before he caught up with Laurie again.

Doctor Loomis returned to protect her and started a fire that nearly killed both him and Michael. Loomis suffered second degree burns, but Michael was engulfed in flames. He went into a coma that lasted for 10 years. That was a night that Haddonfield would remember for years to come.
