Another Saw-type movie about putting people through terrible situations. The killer looks like he could be a cool horror villain at first, but then you realize there's not much going on with him. I'm all for gross-out horror, but this feels like style over substance. That's why movies like this never really stick with you. There's nothing underneath all the gore for you to chew on afterward.

So the actress gets older and has to look even younger? Ha. As if.

Not exactly what I expected either. The atmosphere works, and once the family starts realizing something is seriously wrong with Esther, it gets pretty nasty.

Stupid PG-13 tame version of Evil Dead. Jump in with both feet or don't waste our time.

But yeah, fuck McG and his stupid name. Chuck is a good show, though. Has a surprising amount of Terminator references in it too.

Gambit was also horrible casting. I used to love that character, but Taylor Kitsch just felt wrong. Didn't have the look or the attitude.

Ah, so the writers didn't know how to wrap up their torture porn movie, and that somehow elevates it. God, I can't wait for this fad to end.

"The girl" was pretty hot. Not exactly a great actress, but that's okay because it wasn't exactly a great story either.

Yeah, he was awesome. Way better than Ken Kirzinger. Imagine overalls Jason from part 2 in a hockey mask. I'm trying, but I just can't.

Platinum Dunes remakes have been pretty good, so fingers crossed. Same director as TCM 2003, too. Hopefully they can actually make Jason scary again instead of just making another generic slasher.

At least the latter comes out on Friday the 13th. This one is meant for Valentine's Day and might not last its theatrical run to that date.
