THE TRUTH / READ THIS

THE ETHOS

We are not a franchise. We are not a corporate-approved alternative space. We are a sanctuary for the analog, the loud, the discarded, and the freaks of Haddonfield.

Uncle Meat started this place with three milk crates of Zappa boots, an industrial espresso machine that smells like burnt hair, and a refusal to let corporate monoculture swallow this town whole. We buy used records because music should have scratches. We sell VHS tapes because movies should tracking lines. We brew coffee dark enough to wake the dead because the world is a sleepy, complacent place.

THE PERSONNEL

If you are looking for smiling corporate baristas with nametags, turn around. The kids behind the counter are here because they know music, they hate authority, and they don't fit anywhere else.

  • Nulls built the site (and he's sneaky about things).
  • Meat handles the inventory (when he's not arguing with the mailman).
  • Mya controls the register (and sneaks her friends into the breakroom).
  • Harley handles the shift scheduling (badly).
  • And everyone else... ********

LOCATION & CONTACT

We are located in the historic brick alleyway off Main Street, right down from the old hardware store.

  • Phone: Don't call us. If the line isn't busy, we've probably taken the receiver off the hook because the local true-crime podcasters won't stop fishing for rumors.
  • Mail: Drop a note through the slot in the front door or write it on the bathroom stall like everyone else.

THE LAWYERS MADE US PUT THIS HERE (PRIVACY & TERMS OF USE)

Some suit from the corporate server host told us we need a "digital compliance document" or they'll black-hole our IP address. Here is your policy:

  1. DATA TRACKING: We don't track you. We don't know what cookies are and we aren't selling your email to advertising ghouls. If you leave a comment on the Wall, it stays on our hard drive until the drive catches fire or someone accidentally formats it.
  2. COPYRIGHT: Half the flyers scanned on this site were stolen from telephone poles, and the music reviews are completely biased. If you see an image you own and you're mad about it, come down to the shop and argue with Meat in person. Bring coffee.
  3. LIABILITY: We are not responsible for your ears if you play the jukebox too loud. We are not responsible for your state of mind if you stay up reading the conspiracy threads.

Stay independent. Keep the volume up. Fuck the man.

Copyright? We stole half these images from Google and the other half from old magazines. Sue us, there's no money left anyway. You are trespasser: 140
