At this point the movies are basically an excuse to watch people get dismembered. Which is fine. Just stop pretending it's philosophy.

Exactly. You spend the whole movie wondering how they're getting out of this and then the ending basically says "don't worry about it."

Finally watched the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre on DVD.

It's dumb fun. Basically a total rehash and cash-in, but the violence is nasty and there are some genuinely tense parts.

The ending is stupid as hell though. And I don't buy the whole thing with the giant dude sitting in the backseat with a chainsaw. How the fuck are you supposed to not notice that?
