Saw Superbad. Mildly funny party movie, but Judd Apatow movies are overrated as hell. I feel like they set out to be comedies, but no one involved is actually funny.

Or they just wanted another famous fictional murder town.

The whole thing works because Leslie actually understands the genre.

"It's convention, Tay. You have to respect it."

Skip it. King is great. This movie isn't.

Yeah, I figured as much. Just don't go into the evil room and you'll be fine. That should be common sense, but I guess it isn't.

The scythe scene got me. Not even the visual as much as the sound of the blade dragging across her skin. That gave me goosebumps.

Okay, so I re-watched the finale just to be sure that it wasn't an outage. My subsequent viewing was definitely different. So Tony and his family get out of the car. "Don't Stop Believing" is playing. They're seated at the restaurant, everything seems fine but not. Tony's on edge because he thinks he's about to get whacked. My cable didn't cut out this time. I saw the full ending. Fortunately, someone uploaded it to youtube. Check it out.

Huh. I guess that is the ending. Either it's lazy or brilliant. I can't decide.

So my cable decides to go out at the exact fucking moment The Sopranos is ending.

I missed the last few minutes.

I'M NOT KIDDING.

Ever see Hitchcock's Rope? That's set entirely in an apartment and it's still pretty engaging. Sometimes, I miss that old set-heavy style. It feels more intimate.
