I never thought I'd feel sorry for Doakes. =(

I thought maybe the projector failed. But I looked it up. That's how the book ends too. Inconclusive.

YES. Awesome performance. Unpredicable blank intensity. And that haircut is the scariest part.

I wanted to know what all the fuss was about, but I wasn't expecting it to be that good.

This movie was INTENSE. A cat and mouse chase that's almost scarier than a horror film. I was on the edge of my seat.

I guess it's a little like their earlier movie Blood Simple. Josh Brolin has always been good, but now he's in the big leagues. His career is about to take off.

Anybody watch this?

Lundy is great. I also love the cat and mouse game between Dexter and Doakes. Doakes is going to figure him out eventually. There's no way that guy lets it go.

Yes. How could I forget The Shining. I don't give a shit if Stephen King likes it or not. It's a Kubrick classic, and King's a total dildo for thinking otherwise.

Fair enough. I'd probably still pick stuff like Repulsion, The Tenant, Wicker Man, Psycho. You know, stuff where regular people are just losing their goddamn minds. Still psychological, but more straight-forward.

Nightmare on Elm Street isn't exactly realistic. It's a guy killing people in their dreams.

Yes. How could I forget one of the most acclaimed Halloween movies of all time? Pretty random choice for the trailer, but I'm sold anyway.

I just watched the trailer for it. Where have I heard that music from?

The beginning was stupid, though. Killing off the survivor from the first movie just to establish that nobody is safe feels like the most obvious sequel move imaginable. Kind of undermines the first movie's ending.

Exactly. You don't need a hundred locations if you know how to use one. And green screen sets don't count. Fuck that shit.

It's called ambiguity. Do you really want the movie to stop and explain everything to you?

Or people who actually like horror.

It's a metaphor for the boundaries we're willing to cross as we dehumanize ourselves.

Why do you hate France so much?

It's definitely not as good as Inside, but I still liked it.
