No, but supposedly, it was influenced by some real events. Not exactly a "true story," though. More like the writer took a few random things that happened and used them as inspiration.

Okay movie, but the cinematographer really sucks at holding the camera still.

The crazy part is that they put the SHIELD thing in there like it's no big deal. You could actually build a whole series around these characters if they wanted to.

Did you see the end credits scene? This is supposedly setting up something bigger. They got Nick Fury in there trying to recruit him for SHIELD.

I'll sleep easy knowing I'm in the majority and that this is a great show that's simply too complex for your puny brain to comprehend all of its nuances.

Because you're a layman. Your tastes aren't cultured enough to appreciate the slow-burn of a man's descent into villainy.

He finished most of it. They'll probably do something like The Crow and use a double for whatever is left.

One thing's for sure, the new Batman movie is going to sell a lot of tickets now.

The show will probably be its own thing. Linda Hamilton is rumored to cameo in T4, so I doubt they want two versions of the character existing in the same timeline.

Besides, the show is already fucking up its own timeline. The movies will probably be more straightforward. They aren't going to make people watch a network TV show to understand what's happening in a summer blockbuster.

I still don't see what's special about it.

The songs aren't really something Burton invented for the movie. It's based on the stage musical, so those were already there. You can't exactly blame him for writing them that way.

Dude, "The Last Man on Earth" predates that. It's been out since the 60s, and it has Vincent Price. It's public domain, so it's much easier to find..
