Saw this the other day. Beautiful movie. It's dirty and sweaty and depressing and somehow still beautiful. All those fucked-up kids running around Queens feel like they could walk right off the screen.

It's a gangster movie. People are going to die.

The problem is the ending. Once you know the character is basically going to survive because the movie needs him later, there's no stakes.
