That's exactly why I found it so unsettling. It could really happen. There's no supernatural bullshit. Just some masked assholes deciding to fuck with somebody.

Was the writer inspired by Michael Myers?

Glad I'm not the only chick who thinks so.

Although I still don't know if I can get into movies where a giant monster destroys an entire city. I always end up wondering why everybody doesn't just get the fuck out of town.

Wow. Didn't know that. I'm guessing it's probably also better than the new one?

Dude, the original had Charlton Heston. It's been out since the 70s. It was called "The Omega Man", but it's still based on the same source material.

Why do they keep taking horror classics and turning them into CGI action romps?

What's it about? I've heard the name but don't know anything about it.

I do love that King keeps getting movies made, but his best stuff is still from the last century. Even crappy TV movies like Tommyknockers and Sleepwalkers had a charm to them that I can't quite see in today's movies.

We'll hold off the innuendos for now.

I'm not quite sold on the ending myself. It seemed conveniently timed for shock value only. What are the chances it turns out that way? Like seriously. Let's drive away, let's give up... then boom. Salvation? Talk about deus ex macabre.

Nobody does. Great cast, but whatever.

I can't explain it, but I felt like this movie should have been better. Am I crazy?

I haven't read the book yet, but the setting made me think it would have been something like Dawn of the Dead. You know... trapped in candyland, securing the premises, maybe having a little fun along the way? Turns out it was just giant monsters. It's always giant monsters now.

I love the Romero zombie stuff, but I'm also a big fan of Stephen King adaptions. The creepier ones, like The Shining and Pet Sematary.

These books suck, and no pun intended. Stephenie Meyer is a terrible writer, and it only took me one book to realize that. Eclipse is what, the third book now? Please. Just stop already.

That explains a lot. I heard rumors that his marriage with TÊa Leoni is on the rocks because he's a sex addict. Making a show about it probably isn't helping, but it's definitely entertaining.

Same. He's so nonchalant about everything. Watching X-Files didn't prepare me for this.

Anybody watching Californication on Showtime?

David Duchovny as a sex-addicted writer.
