What? That's disgusting! I'm in.

This movie has been getting a lot of buzz lately. Anybody know what the big deal is? I keep seeing the title everywhere, but I have no idea what it's actually about.

I don't like subtitles. When's the English remake coming out?

Except Mother's Day.

Honestly, Darren Lynn Bousman sucks. I haven't seen a movie by him yet that I considered even remotely good.

Helter Skelter is heavier than anything the Stones ever did. And when it comes to being heavy... She's so Heavy.

He's not really playing an asshole in this one. He's the traumatized adult version of the kid, so there's a little more going on with him than just "William Atherton is being a dick again."

It's definitely not an easy watch, but I wouldn't call it pointless. It's well made, and the whole thing is basically a litmus test to see if you have a soul. You spend the entire movie waiting for somebody to do the right thing and wondering how far everybody is going to let it go.

Girl gets sent to live with relatives after her parents die, and the woman she's staying with basically turns the whole neighborhood against her and tortures her to death. It's based loosely on a real case, which makes it even worse. Very bleak movie. There's really no "fun" part of it.

Picked this up on video. And before anybody makes the obvious joke, no, NOT the comedy from a few years ago. This is the new one. Based on the Jack Ketchum book. Very disturbing movie. That guy writes some seriously dark shit. Makes Stephen King seem light-hearted sometimes.

I think it has more to do with psychological complexity. The attraction deepens because they know that person has gone to darker and more primal places. Women are also natural caretakers, so the idea that they can change a man... in this case, have them choose love over their basic murderous instincts... is the ultimate win. Also, some of us are just fucked in the head.

I think a lot of it is nostalgia. You can't tell me Mick Garris is a better director than Frank Durabont. I won't allow it.

I did like the ending. That one is going down in the history books.

I heard that she shot the guy in the head after he beat the fuck out of her. Broken bones, ripped off fingernails. And somehow, he still gets up and walks away. Like what the actual fuck?

Don't worry. It'll all make sense in Saw V.

I haven't seen it yet, but that's exactly what I expected.

Devils Rejects, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hills Have Eyes. Any movie that makes you feel dirty makes me feel happy.
