I actually thought the slow parts worked. You're watching the camera every night waiting for something to move, so when something finally does, you're already staring at the right part of the room. The bedroom stuff got under my skin more than the big scares.

Yeah, I liked that it didn't immediately start throwing monsters at you. The waiting is what makes it work. Definitely a good movie to watch late at night.

Yes, and it's weird. They play brother and sister and then go home together. I guess actors get used to separating the character from the person. Still seems like it'd be awkward at family dinners.

I think the weirdest part was how much I liked the long talking scenes. Usually I get impatient, but with this one you're waiting for somebody to realize they're talking to a Nazi or a spy or whoever they're pretending not to be. There's always something underneath the conversation.
