#WrongTurn (2021)

The 7th entry of this hit-or-miss series. Notice how it's simply called "Wrong Turn" without a number. This is because it's not exactly the same as the others and doesn't deal with inbred hillbillies so much as cultist hunters living in their own twisted paradise.

A girl goes hiking with her friends, they get hunted, blah blah. You know the story. Her dad (Matthew Modine) goes looking for her, it's a mess, and without spoiling anything... it's actually pretty good. Quite violent, no eye-rolling moments, and a pretty cruel romp overall. And just when you think it's over, there's a twist. I actually liked the ending, even though I kept feeling like it was going to turn stupid at any moment, but it didn't.

One of the better entries of the series.
