A little over a month ago, Charlie Kirk was murdered by a radicalized leftist lunatic. I was busy working on this site when Der called me up and gave me the news. I didn't know what to think. I thought Charlie was great. I loved the way he pwned ignorant indoctrinated college liberals with common sense and mere facts, and I loved scrolling Facebook and coming across his videos in my feed. I think he was the first person I started following on X since the new administration kicked in at the start of the year and I got excited about
I couldn't talk about it when it happened because TE was in shambles, but his death hit me hard. I'll even go as far as saying it's the most impactful death of my lifetime. I could barely keep it together at home or at work. I was thinking about it 24/7 for almost 2 weeks, and every time I wasn't distracted enough by some menial task, I would find myself crying about it. Crying about how this family man who only every preached tolerance and tried to reason with the misguided youths was gunned down by another violent left-winged maniac who didn't know anything about the man or the cause he was so adamant about ending.
But there was a light at the end of the tunnel. We'd seen so many disgusting people celebrating his death, but we'd seen so many more people coming together because of him and everything he stood for. Not just in the states, but all over the world. London, Australia, Spain, South Korea... it opened so many people's eyes to what was happening in our country, and it caused so many people to leave the party of violence and finally begin to question all the bullshit the media has been spinning their way. People were going to church in record numbers. TPUSA grew 3 times larger than Charlie ever thought it would. It's awful that it took his death to wake people up, but I'm sure he would have loved knowing the reaction it caused, and how he affected so many people's lives for the better.
Charlie Kirk was awesome.
