1. Information We Collect
Dune's Cantina values your right to be left alone.
We do not track your real-world identity, nor do we run corporate advertising cookies.
However, when using our interactive board features, the following data is logged into our local database server:
- Town Chatroom: Public messages, selected handle/alias, IP address, and timestamp of entry.
- Job Board: Post title, task details, contact notes provided, and whether the listing was posted as a Guest or Registered Patron.
- Bar System: Remaining site credit balances and purchased drink logs.
2. How We Use Your Data
Information posted to the Job Board or Town Chatroom is considered public knowledge within China Grove and the surrounding county limits.
Do not post personal sensitive information (such as home addresses, safe combinations, or vehicle registration numbers) on the public boards.
Dune's Cantina does not sell, rent, or trade your details to outside marketers.
However, we reserve the right to cooperate with local law enforcement or the County Sheriff upon request.
3. Guest Posts vs. Logged Accounts
Guest posts on the Job Board and Chatroom are retained in the system permanently unless manually cleared by the webmaster or overwritten during server maintenance.
Registered accounts retain ownership of their posted listings.
4. Disclaimer on Unsolicited Communications
Dune's Cantina is not responsible for off-site contact, phone calls, or unexpected late-night visits resulting from public listings placed on the Job Board.
Deal with local contractors at your own risk.
5. Third-Party Links
This site contains hyperlinks to local community partners, fortune services, and regional webrings.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices, optical illusions, or weird noises originating from external web pages.
