Batman question

Is anyone here very familiar with the Batman franchise, particularly the graphic novels? There are so many, I don't know where to start looking for what I want. I am wondering if there is one set in a post-nuclear war setting, with Batman training his army of young former residents of Gotham City to survive in the wasteland. The graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns ends with a nuclear war... I can't remember exactly how huge it was supposed to be but it was certainly enough to annihilate civilization. As I recall, Batman took a lot of younger people, possibly Robin's friends, into the Bat Cave, and he was going to build them into some kind of an army or just an organization that would try to continue civilization. So, I am hoping that there is a graphic novel set shortly after that, with Batman doing what I described. Anybody know if that exists?
