I've heard stories from people living way out in the country. Cabins. Farmhouses. They leave for a day or two and come back to food missing. Nothing stolen. Just... someone had obviously been inside.

Halloween gives him the perfect cover. Masks. Costumes. People screaming because they THINK they're supposed to. You could walk right down the sidewalk dressed as Michael Myers on Halloween and nobody would know if you're just another guy in costume.
